Job Description

We are currently seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team as Massage Therapists, Facial Specialists, and Spa Practitioners. Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of clients' health histories, including any injuries, medical conditions, or contraindications. Evaluate clients' physical conditions and posture to determine the most appropriate massage treatment plan.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals. Determine the type of massage techniques and modalities that will be most beneficial for each client.
Perform a variety of massage techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, and more, depending on the client's condition and treatment plan. Adjust pressure and techniques as needed during the session.
Maintain open and effective communication with clients to ensure they are comfortable and informed about the treatment process. Educate clients about self-care and exercises they can do between sessions.
Maintain detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, and session notes. Document clients' progress and any changes in their condition over time.
Ensure that the treatment room is clean, well-maintained, and sanitized between clients. Follow strict hygiene protocols for handwashing and cleanliness.
Uphold a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct, including respecting clients' privacy and confidentiality. Adhere to the code of ethics and standards of practice for massage therapy.
Stay updated on the latest developments in massage therapy, including new techniques, research, and industry trends. Attend workshops, seminars, and courses to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Provide clients with information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including advice on posture, ergonomics, stretching, and relaxation techniques.
Assist in marketing efforts by participating in promotional events, creating content for social media, or contributing to the spa's marketing initiatives.
Manage front desk duties, client appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. Maintain accurate records of client information, treatments performed, and product recommendations.
Prioritize self-care to maintain your physical and mental well-being. Proper body mechanics and regular exercise are crucial to prevent burnout and injury.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional licensing requirements in your jurisdiction.
Prioritize the safety and well-being of clients throughout each session. Be prepared to handle emergency situations if they arise.
Work collaboratively with other spa practitioners and staff to create a harmonious and efficient spa environment. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
Solicit feedback from clients to continuously improve your services and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

Valid Massage Therapist license in British Columbia
Strong knowledge of various massage modalities.

Facial Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to discuss their skincare concerns, goals, and preferences. Assess their skin type, condition, and any specific issues they want to address.
Examine the client's skin to determine its type and condition, such as dry, oily, sensitive, or combination skin. Identify any skin conditions or concerns, such as acne, aging signs, or hyperpigmentation.
Develop personalized skincare treatment plans based on the client's skin analysis and goals. Select appropriate products and techniques for the treatment, which may include facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other skincare services.
Perform a range of facial treatments, which may include cleansing, exfoliation, extraction of blackheads and whiteheads, moisturization, and mask application. Use specialized equipment and products to enhance the effectiveness of treatments.
Incorporate facial massages to promote relaxation and improve circulation. Facial massages can also help in product penetration and skin rejuvenation.
Apply skincare products, such as serums, moisturizers, and sunscreens, tailored to the client's skin type and condition. Educate clients on proper product usage and home skincare routines.
Offer waxing/sugaring or threading services for clients interested in hair removal, such as eyebrow shaping, lip waxing, or other facial hair removal procedures.
Provide clients with information on maintaining healthy skin, including advice for at-home skincare products.
Follow strict hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace. Sterilize tools and equipment between clients and adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
Keep accurate records of client consultations, treatment plans, and session notes. Document any changes in the client's skin condition and progress over time.
Ensure that all equipment and skincare products are well-maintained and stocked. Order supplies as needed to provide high-quality services.

Spa Practitioner

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to discuss their needs and preferences. This includes identifying any specific health concerns, allergies, or contraindications that may affect the treatment.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. This involves setting up massage tables, adjusting room temperature, and arranging essential oils or skincare products.
Administer spa treatments. Tailor the treatments to meet each client's individual preferences and needs.
Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients. Sterilize equipment, replace linens, and sanitize surfaces between clients.
Stay up-to-date with the spa's product offerings and be knowledgeable about skincare products, essential oils, or other products used during treatments. Be prepared to make product recommendations to clients.
Educate clients about proper skincare and wellness routines, and provide recommendations for home care between spa visits.
Manage front desk duties, client appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. Maintain accurate records of client information, treatments performed, and product recommendations.
If applicable, promote and sell spa products to clients based on their needs and preferences. Provide product information, demonstrate usage, and process sales transactions.
